Choosing a skin treatment at Clifton Down

If you know what you want to change about your skin but not which treatment does it, this is how the Clifton menu breaks down.

• HydraFacial is a six-step treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one session, with no downtime. Signature takes 30 minutes (£100), Deluxe adds a targeted booster and LED in 45 minutes (£130), and Platinum adds lymphatic drainage in 60 minutes (£150). More on HydraFacial.
• Crystal Clear microdermabrasion uses vacuum-assisted exfoliation to lift dead skin, then finishes with a mask chosen for your skin. One session is £69 and takes 45 minutes.
• Jan Marini peels use glycolic acid to even out tone and texture. A single peel is £90 for about 60 minutes, and mild redness afterwards is possible.
• Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries that prompt your skin's own collagen response. We use it for acne scarring, large pores and general texture: £130 for the full face, £150 with the neck.
• Collagen Lift warms the deeper layers of skin with radiofrequency, with no needles and no downtime. An eye or jawline area is £65 and the full face is £99.
• Dermaplaning uses a surgical blade to lift dead skin and fine vellus hair, so skin is smoother the same day. It is £69 for 45 minutes.
• The Illumi Facial is a glass-skin treatment using IPL, run at Clifton Down only: £199 for one session or £540 for three.

Not sure which one fits? Book the treatment closest to what you want and tell your therapist at the start; they will say if a peel or microneedling would suit your skin better.

Nails, brows and waxing

As a beauty salon in Clifton we do nails as well as skin. A mini manicure is a 25-minute tidy for £31, the classic takes 45 minutes for £46, and the luxury version adds exfoliation, a hand and arm massage and heated mitts in 55 minutes for £52. Semilac gel nails cost £47.50 and wear for up to 14 days.

For brows, eyebrow threading is £18.50 and takes about 15 minutes, and HD Brows is £32.50. Waxing runs from £13.50 for a lip or chin, with underarms £18.50 and a full body wax from £147, and we also offer massage, lash lifts and tinting.

Finding us on Whiteladies Road

We are at Unit 1, Clifton Down Shopping Centre, 135 Whiteladies Road, Redland, Bristol BS8 2NP, inside the centre by Sainsbury's. Clifton Down Station sits right beside the centre, and the centre names Clifton Down Station as its nearest bus stop too. If you drive, the centre's multi-storey car park is attached to the building, with its entrance on Alma Road (BS8 2NN) and 360 spaces. The centre's getting here page has the details.

We are open Monday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Thursday 9am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5:30pm, and closed on Sundays.

Who you'll see

Niphada and Delphine look after IPL hair removal, HIFU, RF microneedling and skin peels, and Ellie does all of those plus Collagen Lift. Klara is our waxing specialist, Natalia is our threading specialist, and Niamh, a skin and beauty therapist, is here on Wednesdays. Kingston runs reception. Our therapists are NVQ Level 3 qualified, and Simon's review below names Niphada for his HydraFacial. Ask for a therapist by name when you book and we'll check their diary.
